I hear people say that their church is open to ALL PEOPLE, but I know people personally who would be asked to LEAVE their church if they visited, and one of those people is probably going to be ME.
I have a major problem with people who refer to themselves as PRO-LIFE but seem to only focus on unborn children. In other words, they focus only on people who can't disagree with them, dress differently than them, can't believe or DISBELIEVE in God, etc., but when these children are born, suddenly that LOVE just disappears. Then they treat these children the same way they treat the adults they don't approve of. PRO-LIFE should mean LIFE PERIOD, not just pre-birth, shouldn't it?” - Scotty Irving

Forgive us, O Lord, for showing no regard for human rights. Forgive us, O Lord, for daring to call ourselves "pro-life" only because we oppose abortion. Forgive us for saying the unborn need our protection, as we forget about them after they're born.

Forgive us, O Lord, for showing disdain for atheists, people of different cultures or colors, people who are LGBTQ, all the while telling them that Jesus loves them. Using the name of Jesus, but not doing anything like Jesus would have done. Forgive us for the hatred we show anyone different than us, even our fellow Christians. Forgive us, O Lord, for saying our churches are open to everyone, but not making everyone welcome.

Forgive us for loving unborn children ONLY because they cannot oppose us, contradict us, live a lifestyle we don't approve of, or do anything we don't like. Forgive us, Jesus, for playing the Abortion Card, because it's the only thing we have left that resembles you.
