Forgive us, O Lord, for showing no regard for human rights. Forgive us, O Lord, for daring to call ourselves "pro-life" only because we oppose abortion. Forgive us for saying the unborn need our protection, as we forget about them after they're born.
Forgive us, O Lord, for showing disdain for atheists, people of different cultures or colors, people who are LGBTQ, all the while telling them that Jesus loves them. Using the name of Jesus, but not doing anything like Jesus would have done. Forgive us for the hatred we show anyone different than us, even our fellow Christians. Forgive us, O Lord, for saying our churches are open to everyone, but not making everyone welcome.
Forgive us for loving unborn children ONLY because they cannot oppose us, contradict us, live a lifestyle we don't approve of, or do anything we don't like. Forgive us, Jesus, for playing the Abortion Card, because it's the only thing we have left that resembles you.

Instead of denying people access to church because of their skin color, sexual orientation, or appearance, help me to lead others AWAY from dissension and closer to you. When I feel as though my fellow Christians are condemning me when they show more love for guns than people, when they condemn my actions as being ANTI-Christian because it doesn't fit in with the political party they represent, when I see more hate from them than the love of you, Jesus, when they tell me my actions are not like yours, and I am going to spend eternity in Hell, HELP ME TO FORGIVE THEM AND PRAISE YOU. Help me to be ready to die for you at any time. Death comes so much easier these days and I feel I have more enemies than ever before.
